2. Overview

This website uses no cookies, no analytics tools and no advertising trackers. We process personal data only if you provide it to us yourself via the Mini-Check form, as well as in the server logs of our hosting provider.

3. Hosting

Our website is hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the page is accessed, the provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type) in server log files in order to deliver the page and ensure security (basis: legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website under the Swiss Data Protection Act, revDSG). As Netlify is based in the USA, the transfer takes place on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

4. Website statistics (anonymous, cookie-free)

To improve our service we run our own privacy-friendly analytics – without cookies and without cross-device recognition. When a page is opened, the following is sent to our own server (check.greenlight-check.ch): the page visited, the referring source, the language and the device type (mobile/desktop). From your IP address we determine only the country; the IP address itself is not stored. To approximately count returning visits we use a non-reversible value that changes every day. No data is shared with third parties.

For the Mini-Check we additionally store the checked address (domain), the result (rating and number of points) and the country – but not your email address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, needs-based website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Mini-Check form

When you request our Mini-Check, we process the shop URL and email address you provide in order to carry out the audit and send you the result (basis: processing to answer and handle your request under the Swiss Data Protection Act, revDSG).

For sending the form we use the service Formspree (Formspree Inc., USA) as a processor. Formspree processes your form data in order to transmit it to us. The transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Further information: Formspree's privacy policy.

We use your data exclusively for the requested check and to send you the result – no newsletter, no sharing with third parties for advertising purposes. We delete request data no later than 6 months after the request has been concluded, provided no order is placed and no statutory retention obligations exist.

6. Audit of your website

We access the shop URL you provide automatically in order to carry out the audit. In doing so, only publicly accessible content of your website is processed; we do not need or collect any access credentials.

7. Your rights

Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) you have, in particular, the right to information, rectification and erasure, as well as the right to the release or transfer of your data. If our offering is directed at people in the EU, you additionally have the rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection). To exercise these, simply contact kontakt@greenlight-check.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (in Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC; in the EU: the supervisory authority of your member state).
